....Well we always knew that but now it has been formally recognised by the people at London in Bloom, who have just awarded Formosa the so-called Silver Gilt award in the Small Park/Enclosed Garden category. Wine lovers gathered last Saturday evening for a thoroughly delicious few hours of tasting, chatting, and rather a lot of happy sipping. The weather played beautifully to our favour too, with glorious sunshine making it the perfect occasion for an evening outdoors. The Winery brought a beautifully judged selection, and it's fair to say nobody left disappointed. The tasting opened, as any good tasting should, with a glass of Champagne — always a fine way to get things started.

Some-one has been dumping bags of garden waste & other material close to the gardeners' gate near Formosa Street. Fly-tipping is prohibited both by law & under the Formosa rules & those responsible will be subject to penalities. It's anti-social & a blight on our lovely Garden!
