The main Castellain Road gate has been out of action for well over a week now, during which time a succession of contractors have been in and out of the Garden trying to identify the problem. It's finally been diagnosed as water damage to the main control panel, which unfortunately is now beyond repair & will need to be replaced. Our Managing Agents have apologised for the ongoing inconvenience to residents but are hopeful that the new part will be delivered in a few days' time. Meanwhile...

Residents will remember that in response to a request from dog-owners back in the Autumn the Formosa Board agreed to extend the cut-off time for dogs to be exercised off the lead from 10 am to 10.30 am to take account of the darker mornings. Unfortunately while most pet-owners have observed this new rule most scrupulously it seems three or four have been disregarding it to the extent that on occasion their dogs are to be seen roaming loose as late as 11 am. Residents may remember that last Summer Sutherland Avenue resident John Gregson launched a petition calling for the short stretch of Formosa Street between Warrington Crescent & Castellain road to be closed to traffic.
