This propping open of the automatic gate at Castellain Road is just one example of irreponsible behaviour by scaffolders that has become all too common of recent months, & the Board has now decided it will no longer grant access to the Formosa Garden to a firm called LJP Scaffolding who've been guilty of a series of breaches & infractions. The company has been made aware of this decision & residents should be sure not to book them for any future building works.

There was a rapt audience on Sunday September 15th for one of the most celebrated film noirs of recent years, The Talented Mr Ripley -- residents' choice for our second open-air film night in the Garden. The screening began at dusk & spectators came well armed with picnics, rugs & chairs & sometimes alcohol (to ward off any possible chill). In fact the only slight problem weather-wise turned out to be some intermittent rain but it was fairly light & did little to spoil viewers' enjoyment.
As last year thanks must go to Sutherland Avenue resident Marc Scrimshire who organised the event.

September 15th's screening of The Talented Mr Ripley will begin at sunset -- around 7.15 pm -- but people are welcome to start gathering in the Garden from 6 pm onwards. Headsets will be provided but you will need to bring your own picnic/chairs/blankets/light refreshments! Apart from that all that will be needed is some decent weather....
