Sad to say there have been a few incidents of crime & vandalism in the area bounding the Formosa Garden of late. On July 4 the windows at Toast in Formosa Street were comprehensively smashed. Staff have no idea who was responsible but it followed a similar attack last year when police were unable to find the culprit or culprits.
Elsewhere there have been two muggings recently, on Warrington Crescent close to the Formosa St junction & Castellain Road, by individuals who appear to have followed their victims up from the Tube.
So please take care when walking the streets locally & if you see any signs of criminal activity report them to the police.

You may remember Westminster Council published their Paddngton Public Realm Strategy earlier this year, of which Phase One was the improvement of Warwick Avenue to make it, in their words, "more welcoming, sustainable & accessible for all". Following a public consultation they have come up with ideas including the creation of new areas of greenery, improved signage & lighting & the de-cluttering of street furniture. Now you can take a closer look at their plans at the exhibition that's been set up outside the cabmen's shelter in the centre of the road which runs until August 1st. You can then give your views in a short digital survey at https://warwickavenue.commonplace.is.

The Board are trying to ascertain the ownership of the mobility scooters which have been stored at the entrance to the Formosa garden. One is owned and regularly used, whereas the others appear to have been discarded.
If you have any idea who owns (or once owned) the scooters, please will you let Westbourne know as soon as possible at info@wb19.co.uk ? Should the scooters remain unclaimed, they will be removed from the pathway.
Thank you.
